Long ago, when I was at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico, becoming and Industrial Designer, I got the opportunity to attend a Set Design course taught by Set Designer/Art Director Marco Niro (Titanic, Troy, Master and Commander) and Set Designer/Art Director Carlos Benassini (Mask of Zorro, Titanic, Apocalypto).
Even though I love most of Industrial Design's broad fields, taking this set design course got me excited and motivated, and though unfortunately at the time, plans for a career in that field fell through, I always had it in the back of my mind as a possibility.
I ended up specializing in Exhibit Design, and though it's a field of Industrial Design that I particularly love, I always wanted to give it a go at Set Design.
When I started Kuzeh Creative, the idea was to provide people with design services that would work on a broad variety of fields, and now, it also includes Set Design.
I recently started working on an Independent movie called Penance, directed by Dane Moran. Currently we're creating a pitch for it, to get investors interested, but we wanted to make a visually compelling set for specific scenes in the movie.
I also ended up designing the conceptual costume for the main character.
It has been a great experience and one that definitely got me excited on trying a new field of creativity that I always wanted to explore!
The best is yet to come!!
